The Board of Directors of CFE has decided to create a Contracting division under CFE, which will ultimately include all the construction, multitechnics and rail activities. A similar centralisation process will also be applied to the real estate development activities, which will be headed by BPI.

The Board of Directors of CFE has also decided, in agreement with Renaud Bentégeat, to appoint Piet Dejonghe as second managing director.

Renaud Bentégeat shall continue to represent CFE to the outside world. He will be responsible for monitoring DEME, Rent-A-Port and real estate development activities, as well as managing CFE International’s activities in Central Europe, Africa and Sri Lanka.

As for Piet Dejonghe, he will be responsible for the Contracting division and will take charge of some transverse projects with the aim of improving the operational excellence of the Contracting activities.

Piet Dejonghe has been director of CFE since 24 December 2013.

The Board of Directors of CFE is convinced of the pertinence of this new organisation that should allow CFE to improve profitability on a sustainable basis.

Piet Dejonghe (°1966) is member of the Executive Committee at Ackermans & van Haaren.

Before joining Ackermans & van Haaren in 1995 he was a lawyer at Loeff Claeys Verbeke and consultant at BCG. Piet Dejonghe earned a master's degree in law (KU Leuven) and an MBA (INSEAD).
